Britten Norman Islander

Island Air operates a fleet of 4 Britten Norman BN-2A Islander aircraft. The Islander is a twin-engine, high wing, fixed gear, STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. Islanders operate all over the world and have an excellent reputation as a real workhorses. They can land on short runways where most other aircraft types are not capable (Cat Cay, Walker’s Cay, and Little Whale Cay).

The Islander carries 7 passengers and their baggage with a payload weight limit. The fuel-efficient Islander uses only 30 gallons per hour and cruises at 140 MPH.
